'Fullfolja' from the paper section at Ikea
A couple of weeks ago I stopped by at Ikea on my way home (no special reason).
I bought nothing I really needed, as well a pocket size sketchbook with rubber band fastener, for my illustrator friend Marina.
Surprisingly, the pages had a very light grey dot pattern.
Next I knew, I was getting a stream of ‘whatsapp’ messages from Marina, with some beautiful geometric illustrations, using the dotted pattern as a grid.
I went back to ikea, this time with a specific task.
I got more sketchbooks, one for each girl, and one for me.
