It was a very hot day, and I was exhausted. I closed my eyes for only 5 minutes. While suddenly I was startled by the sound of silence, it was TOO quiet; I knew something was going on.
I opened one eye and saw Zoe (7 going on 16) was sitting next to me playing some games on the computer, but where was Ori (4)? I called her name and she answered as calm as can be; telling me she is in the bathroom, and that she found our gray and red scissors.
I paused for a second, trying to imagine what was going on.
I asked Zoe to check on her. Soon after, I heard some massive giggling.
So I got my self together (it’s not easy to get up from a reclining position these days), I rolled off the sofa with my over sized belly and all, and got over to see the BIG excitement.
I found Ori with an experimental hair cut done by her and with the great help of her sister (a true collaboration).
She got supportive smiles form teachers and moms, while I was getting the “how did you let her do this” looks.
Well….Hair grows.
